A Recap of the Women’s Impact, Inc. Empowerment Day Conference

On October 10th, 2024 I had the privilege of attending the Women’s Impact, Inc. Annual Empowerment Day Conference at Kent State University at Stark. This transformative event brought together over fifty women who were eager to learn, grow, and inspire each other. The day was filled with energy, enthusiasm, and a shared commitment to empowering women.
The conference offered valuable insights and tools for personal and professional growth. Here are some of the key takeaways:

The conference featured three exceptional speakers who donated their time and shared their expertise and insights:
- Lyn Sabino: An expert in Working Genius®, Lyn guided attendees through the Six Types of Working Genius model to help them identify their natural strengths and weaknesses.
- Andrea Capuano: A certified DiSC® trainer, Andrea shared her over 40 years of research to help participants gain insights into effective collaboration and relationship enhancement.
- Lisa Waite: Inspired by the teachings of Brené Brown, Lisa provided practical tools and strategies for enhancing leadership and personal growth.
A Day of Self-Discovery and Growth
Through interactive sessions, attendees discovered how to leverage their unique strengths and collaborate more effectively. The conference offered a unique journey of self-discovery, reflection, and integration. Participants learned how to realize the work that energizes and fulfills them through powerful frameworks like Working Genius and DiSC.
The conference was a seamless operation, thanks to the dedication and hard work of the Women’s Impact, Inc. team. Executive Director Stephanie Cargill, along with member facilitators Jolene Colant and Lyn Sabino, put together a truly empowering event.
The Women’s Impact, Inc. Annual Empowerment Day Conference was a truly inspiring experience. I left feeling empowered, motivated, and ready to make a positive impact on the world. I highly recommend this event to any woman who is looking to develop her leadership skills and connect with like-minded individuals.
