This month, we explore the impact of emotional intelligence on leadership in an enlightening panel discussion. From empathetic decision-making to fostering cohesive teams, discover how emotional intelligence shapes effective leadership. Join us as the panelists unravel strategies for harnessing emotions to inspire and lead with authenticity and empathy.

Join us for the mentoring panel and stay for the casual after-hours at our Mid-Month-Mingle. The panel is 4:30-5:30; drop in at your convenience and stay for as long as you like for the mingle. We buy the appetizers; you buy your own beverage.

Kristina Belliveauis an accomplished professional with a diverse background in finance and change management. Throughout her 24-year career, she has worked with both corporate and nonprofit clients to implement process improvement and create positive and productive work environments. Her goal has always been to help employees connect with their workplace mission and achieve their full potential. Currently, Kristina serves as the Finance Director of Canton For All People. This position allows her to use her wide breath of financial knowledge along with supporting a community she loves. Kristina was born and raised in Stark County and holds a B.A. in Accounting from Walsh
University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She is a proud member of the 33rd Leadership Stark County Signature Class and a 2021 recipient of the ystark! Twenty Under 40! award.

Rev. Anissa Glaser-Bacon is the Minister for Ministers in Specialized Settings and the Professional Endorsement Coordinator for the United Church of Christ and Lead Pastor of New Vision United Church of Christ in Canton, OH. She was born and raised in her beloved state of Maine. She attended the University of Southern Maine (Bachelor’s in Music Education), Bangor Theological Seminary (Master of Arts in Church Music) and Boston University (Master of Divinity). After having a career in conducting and church music, Anissa experienced an extended call in her ministry and was ordained in 2007 at her home church on the coast of Maine. She has also worked as a hospice chaplain, a human resources generalist, a Starbucks barista, a medical research specialist, a piano mover and more! She brings a diversity of gifts into her continuing ministry learned in these positions and in her connections with others as a community-focused pastor.

Tara Rose Grubbs has been with Phoenix Rising since 2008, first as a counselor then moved into more administrative and supervisory roles within the agency. She is currently the Chief Clinical Officer. Tara graduated from Walsh University with a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences and a Master’s degree in Counseling and Human Development. She holds her LPCC-S counseling licensure in Ohio. Currently, Tara serves on the executive steering committee for the Stark County Suicide Collation and previously served on the board for the Domestic Violence Project, Inc. She has a passion for raising awareness in the community on difficult but essential topics related to mental health, trauma, domestic violence, and suicide prevention through teaching, training and advocacy.
