Why do I need to take the DiSC and Working Genius assessments?

Both DiSC and Working Genius are powerful tools that provide personalized insights into your behavior,
communication style, and natural work preferences. These assessments help you understand your
unique strengths and tendencies, enabling you to:

  • Improve communication with your team.
  • Maximize your productivity.
  • Collaborate effectively in various work scenarios.

The assessments provide a fresh perspective and are integral to the conference sessions. They help you
engage more deeply with the content and discussions during the event.

I’ve taken DiSC before. Why do I need to take it again?

While you may have taken these assessments previously, the results can vary over time as you grow
personally and professionally. It’s important to have up-to-date information to get the most out of the
conference. Here’s why:

  • There are different versions of the DiSC assessment, each designed for specific purposes and
contexts. Taking the one provided for the conference ensures cohesiveness to the day.
  • Changes in roles and responsibilities: If your work or personal environment has shifted, your
    behavioral preferences may have evolved.
  • Deepened self-awareness: You may discover new strengths or areas for growth that weren’t as
relevant when you last took the assessments.

Taking the assessments again ensures that you have the most relevant and accurate insights for the
conference experience.

What is Everything DiSC®?

It provides a detailed overview of your behavior in workplace settings and helps you understand your
communication style and how to work effectively with others. It categorizes personality into four main
styles:

  • Dominance (D): Direct, strong-willed, and forceful.
  • Influence (I): Sociable, talkative, and lively.
  • Steadiness (S): Gentle, accommodating, and patient.
  • Conscientiousness (C): Analytical, reserved, and precise.

Understanding your DiSC style allows you to communicate more effectively, reduce conflict, and
collaborate better with others.

What is The Six Types of Working Genius®?

Working Genius focuses on productivity and how individuals and teams get work done. It identifies the
three stages of work—Ideation, Activation, and Implementation—and six types of work required in any
endeavor–Wonder, Invention, Discernment, Galvanizing, Enablement, and Tenacity. It helps individuals
understand which types of work energize them and which ones drain them. By knowing your Working
Geniuses, Competencies, and Frustrations, you can:

  • Increase joy and fulfillment by focusing on tasks that align with your natural gifts/Geniuses.
  • Collaborate with others more effectively by recognizing complementary talents.
  • Eliminate guilt about your perceived weaknesses and judgment of others about theirs.
  • Avoid burnout by managing your Frustrations in a healthy way.

How will these assessments be used during the conference?

Our facilitators will help you interpret your profiles so you understand how to:

  • Apply your profiles in real-world team interactions.
  • Collaborate more productively with people who bring different styles and talents to the table.
  • Enhance your productivity and add value in your role.

Group activities and discussions will help you connect the insights from these assessments with
actionable strategies you can implement in your work and personal life.
