Meet Legacy Member, Ann Doan Conkle
“Our daughters and future generations will greatly benefit from Women’s Impact!”
As one of our newest Legacy Members, Ann was one of the 14 women who believed in the mission of Women’s Impact so much that they invested in its future. Ann says she can’t imagine where her life would be if she hadn’t had this organization – and its members – in her life.
Ann is a graduate of Hawken School and earned her bachelor’s degree in speech and communications from The College of Wooster.
“I chose Women’s Impact as a way to connect with strong businesswomen,” Ann said. She had recently been promoted to Executive Vice President of Sales at Communications Exhibits, Inc., a trade show marketing firm, where her tenure lasted 38 years.
In 2014, Ann renovated the Miller Doan Tavern in Canal Fulton, which she owns a manages with her daughter Abigail Doan. She is very active in the Canal Fulton community and is passionate about helping fellow women business owners succeed.
Previously, Ann served on the Army Transportation Foundation board, and she currently serves on the boards of Primary Care of SUMMA and the Schalmo Family YMCA, where she chairs their annual fundraiser. She is also the president and executor of the Woolworth Doan Foundation and strongly believes in investing in her community.
Two years ago, Ann joined a health and wellness group that is powered by ISAGENIX and continues her passion for helping others look and feel their best. She is running 5k races and loves to swim. Ann is the proud mother of 3 and grandmother of 4.
When asked why she continues to invest in Women’s Impact, she said, “The women of Impact help with everything from career challenges to balancing life and family. One of my favorite philosophies is that if a member reaches out for any reason you should respond within 24 hours or less!”
Thank you, Ann, for all you do in our community.
