Sexual Harassment Policy
Women’s Impact, Inc. takes an active role in protecting its employees, contractors, and members from unlawful harassment and unlawful discrimination. If you believe you have been the subject of unlawful harassment or unlawful discrimination, you must report the situation immediately to one of the following persons: the Executive Director, President, or Vice-President. If you need help identifying or contacting these persons, or if you are dissatisfied with the response to your report, you may contact our Executive Director at womensimpactinc@gmail.com.
It is the policy of Women’s Impact, Inc. to provide an environment free from harassment and, in particular, sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is a violation of Women’s Impact, Inc.’s policy and federal and state law. Sexual harassment is defined as harassing an employee, contractor, or member, male or female, by:
- Making unwelcome sexual advances or requests for sexual favors or making other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature or based on sex a condition of an employee’s employment or membership, or
- Making submission to or rejection of such conduct the basis for employment or membership decisions affecting the employee, contractor, or member, or
- Creating an intimidating, hostile or offensive environment by such conduct.
Sexual harassment of any employee, contractor, or member by Women’s Impact, Inc., by any employee, contractor, member, or by any other individual who comes in contact with our employees, contractors, or members as part of their jobs is not tolerated. You are expected to comply with this policy and members of management are expected to take appropriate measures to ensure that such conduct does not occur. Disciplinary action, up to and including, discharge or removal from employment or membership will be taken against anyone who violates this sexual harassment policy.
If you believe that you have been the subject of sexual harassment, report the alleged act immediately to the Executive Director or President. A prompt and thorough review of the complaint will be conducted. During the review process, your identity is held confidential to the extent possible. At the conclusion of the review, appropriate action is taken as indicated by the results of the review and in accordance with the above policy. You will be informed of any actions taken.
No reprisal, retaliation, or other adverse action will be taken by Women’s Impact, Inc. against any employee, contractor, or member because he or she, in good faith and without proven falsification, claims to be a victim of, or to have witnessed, harassment, or because such employee, contractor, or member assists in the investigation of any such matter.
